Supporting People

People benefiting from the Supporting People programme

The Supporting People programme in Merton provides housing-related support services to more than 1,500 vulnerable people across the borough. Services are available for a wide range of vulnerable adults who may have been hospitalised, in institutional care or homeless.

Housing-related support services can include:

  • living independently,
  • setting up a home,
  • developing life skills,
  • managing benefit claims,
  • gaining access to other services and community organisations,
  • establishing social contacts and activities,
  • establishing safety and security, and
  • monitoring health and well being.
