The opportunity to participate in a ballot, which is not open to the general public, for Wimbledon tennis championship tickets. Through the ballot I received 2 tickets for 30 June 2011 for which I paid £170.

July 2012: two tickets to the semi finals of the men's singles at the Wimbledon tennis championships received courtesy of the Mayor of Merton for use by the Deputy Mayor and the Deputy Mayoress. Approximate value of £200 for the pair.

September 2012: attendance, accompanied by the Deputy Mayoress, at the closing ceremony of the Paralympics. The tickets were provided free of charge by Lord Coe to the Leader of the Council in recognition of the Council's role as an Olympic host borough. He in turn passed them on to the Deputy Mayor for his use. The tickets were not available for sale but purchasable tickets for the event had a value significantly in excess of £25.00.

9 March 2011, two tickets from the Ambassador Theatre Group to attend Lenny Henry's 'Cradle to Rave' and refreshments (two glasses of wine), to say farewell to the General Manager, after 7 years at Wimbledon Theatre. The total value of the tickets at the commercial price was £49. The nominal value of refreshments was about £10. The tickets were out of the General Manager's usual allocation of complimentary tickets for performances.

July 2012: attendance, accompanied by the Mayoress, at the opening ceremony of the Olympics. The tickets were provided free of charge by Lord Coe to the Leader of the Council in recognition of the Council’s role as a host borough. He in turn passed them on to the Mayor as first citizen of the borough. The tickets were not available for sale but purchasable tickets for the event had a value significantly in excess of £25.00.
