Joint Strategic Needs Assessment

The Health and Wellbeing of the People of Merton

Please see the Merton data site which brings together a wide range of data and intelligence about the London borough of Merton and its population.

The Merton Story

The Merton Story is a snapshot of the local needs which have been identified through the JSNA process, which is developed to inform commissioning intentions in the borough. This work is complemented by health needs assessments and JSNA profiles to provide a rich picture of health and wellbeing within Merton.

JSNA Summary document 2015

The JSNA Summary Document 2015 gives an overview of the health and wellbeing of Merton residents in 2015. It highlights trends and changes in the last 12 months, as well as key insights gained from research and health needs assessments that tell us something new about our population and how best to improve health and wellbeing, extending life and addressing health inequalities in the most effective way.

Health Needs Assessment and Profiles

All recent and planned Health Needs Assessments (HNA), Health Impact Assessments (HIA) and other work undertaken to complement and update the JSNA picture are now available to download online:

Ward Health Profiles

Ward Health Profiles provide an overview of health and related factors for each of Merton's 20 wards. Each profile looks at the ward's demographic make-up, life-expectancy at birth, deprivation, crime, health indicators for children, adults and older people, as well as main causes of mortality.
