Adult education

We offer a wide range of courses for adults across Merton in partnership with our specialist training providers South Thames College and RACC (Richmond Adult Community College).

Whether you're looking to learn a new skill, boost your career prospects with a qualification, meet people or simply learn for fun, you'll find a course that interests you.

(Providers during 16-17 included The Baked Bean Company, Find Your Voice and Delrose Earle Training.)

Term Dates

Term 1  

Creative Arts classes end on or before 4th December 2017

Skills for Life and Vocational classes end on or before 20th December 2017. Please check website for details.

Term 2  

Creative Arts classes begin week commencing 8th January 2018, and end on or before 23rd March 2018

Skills for Life and Vocational classes begin from 3rd January 2018, and end on or before 29th March 2018. Please check website for details.

Term 3  Courses begin week commencing 23rd April 2018. Please check website for details.

Courses for learners with learning difficulties or disabilities

Merton Council and RACC provide a wide range of courses for adult learners with learning difficulties and disabilities (LLDD) in venues within Merton. Learners have the opportunity to take part in activities that will help them build their work skills, enhance their ability to live independently, and be more confident.

We currently have courses in progressing on (English, maths, work and vocational skills), English and maths, developing IT skills, personal and social development, eco awareness, horticulture, look good feel good, meal preparation, arts and crafts, lip reading, exercise and active leisure, performing arts and dance.

Courses are currently held at three venues within Merton: Pollards Hill Library, High Path Day Centre, and the JMC. All venues offer a safe environment with good transport links and safe drop-off points.

Our LDD courses are offered to learners on an individual basis, following an assessment process.
